I only have two comments.
I don’t think James Newton Howard was the best choice for score composer, he rocked Collateral and I still love the signs theme, but it took me out of the movie.
I believe Lou Bloom killed the private security guard in the beginning and that’s why it cuts to his watch when he leaves the police station, I couldn’t help but draw the conclusion that he was willing to kill because he directly manufactures it in the film.
Good stuff; was expecting more disturbing scenes, but I’m really doing back flips for this new Gyllenhaal — slightly older, worn in, I can believe his characters a little more.
